We know that finding training that is relatable and meets all state and federal requirements can be both challenging and expensive, that is why we took the time to find the best option and negotiate a great price for you.
REQUIRED TRAINING:
By 2021, the State of California requires companies with 5 or more employees to provide sexual harassment prevention training for both supervisory and non-supervisory roles. Existing employees must complete the training by January 1, 2021, and training of new hires must occur within six months of hire or promotion.
All managers and employees must complete the training course every two years.
At the prompting of the business community, the state legislature introduced and passed SB 778 to make some needed clarifications to the new sexual harassment prevention training law, which expands existing law to apply to companies with five or more employees. Primarily, SB 778 delays the changes made by SB 1343 so employers now have an additional year to get up to speed with and comply with the training requirements.
Three Training Courses for One Low Price
Traliant’s Preventing Discrimination and Harassment for Hotels is compliant with all the training requirements under California’s new workplace laws, enforced by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), and it is tailored to the lodging industry. Your team will learn from examples and scenarios that realistically portray situations hotel staff might encounter. Employee training is 60 minutes and Manager training is 120 minutes.
Traliant’s Active Shooter Response training is a 20-minute course that teaches employees and managers how to prepare for, and respond appropriately to, an active shooter situation. Newscaster commentary and interactive assessments and exercises familiarize employees with different types of situations and various ways to respond. After completing the course, employees will be able to recognize indicators of potential violence to reduce the likelihood of an active shooter incident at the workplace.
Whether it’s a needle in a guest bathroom or blood from a cut by the pool, hotels can have a variety of incidents where basic safety information and common-sense rules for handling bloodborne pathogens will make all the difference. While this is not medical training, the Bloodborne Pathogens course will walk your team through steps to prevent exposure and procedures to follow after an exposure to keep everyone safe.
